The Greater Omaha Packers Company (GOP) has been providing the highest quality meat for over 100 years and enjoys a legendary reputation among meat lovers in America. The meat comes from Nebraska (USA) and is ranked 10th on the worldwide “SCORE LIST”.
Farmers have had the same hormone-free feeding program for decades. This means that after the animals spend the first eight months on the pastures of Nebraska and South Dakota, they are then moved to the outdoor enclosure, where they are fed corn for 150 to 200 days. The corn ensures the distinctive marbling and the harmonious, deep flavor of the meat. Hence the name “Prime”, which stands for perfect marbling. Only two percent of total American beef production receives this distinction. The farms are all located close to the slaughterhouse in order to avoid long and arduous transport routes.
